If you talk to animals, they will talk to you.
If you do not talk to them, you will not know them
and what you do not know, you will be scared of -
what one fears one destroys.

The last word of a dying Raccoons

As an overjoyed raccoon I was born,
But a life here on earth just contains hate and mourn.

Fear and tears in my eyes?
No! I can and do not want to believe:
You take the big shovel and strike me down!
Why can I not be on this earth, like you?

Can you not hear my screams and my begging?
No! You are ready to take my live away!
Covered in blood, all bones are broken!
Dear God-what have I done to be treated this rotten?

I am just a small raccoon,
I just want to live, not more.
Do only have humans the right to live?
Did not god give it to all of us?

But, you are not bothered by all my sorrows!
I feel how dark it is in your heart!
One last rearing up, my last scream:
Finally I am happy and free!

There: a beautiful angel with tears in her eyes;
He neither understands the human race!
Carefull he takes my small hand
And leads me into the paradise the raccoonland.

My pain is over and my dream of a happy life!
Maybe god and the angels can give me a little love!
It would be better that no animal would come to this world,
Because an animal does not mean anything to the human!

- Brigitte Böhmer -

Those where the last words of a two month old Raccoon,
who was brutally mistreated by a human with a shovel!
He died in my arms and I promised him to take care of the helpless and ill animals.
Now I start the battle against the horrid killing and the using of animals!

My beloved small Raccoon,

what have they done to you!
They put you on a barbeque
to see you dance!
You scream out of pain
and all of them laugh!
It is only a raccoon,
there are so many of them, like sand at the sea.
The little fellow screamed out of pain
the fur caught fire
And they poured on schnaps and wine.

My beloved small raccoon,
is not dancing anymore
he laid down on the glowing coal.
Because his feet were burnt.
They grabbed him by his collar
and threw him on the roadside.

My beloved small raccoon
an animal lover found you,
You came to me and I attended to tour wounds
Tears came into my eyes
But you knew you could trust me.
Many days and many nights we feared for your life,
But I knew we had gods' blessing.

My beloved small raccoon,
Your fight for life has given you so much strength.
Today you are a strong raccoon
My friend for life
You have thought me to never give up.

- Brigitte Boehmer -

This poems was written by me in the hope, that such a cruelty may never and will never occour again!

Grische was lucky, but how many do not get found and have to die a horrid death.

I will never fogrt Grische , my friend for life, my spiritual leader. He gave me courage and hope to never give up.

The barbarity towards animals and even
the standing by and watching their pain is in my eyes
one of the biggest sins of the human race.
It is the base of human corruption.
If man creates so much suffering,
what right does he have to complain,
when he suffers himself?

- Romain Rolland, franz. Poet, Nobelwinner(1866-1944) - -
